His skillful face hole and tongue go to work on Marcus dick and its apparent from Marcus eyes this hes enjoying the oral pleasure. Marcus python is completely aroused and Nick wastes no time swallowing his entire package. Nick gently pushes Marcus down on the bed where buddy pulls of Marcus shorts and underwear. They head straight for the bed and in no time at all they are shoving their tongues down every others throats and slowly stripping every other out of their dress. Their workout has em both all horned up and in readiness for some activity. The "Keller's" sign is still there by the way.Marcus Paradise and Nick Starlight return from the gym. Long story short the City landmarked the building so it cannot be torn down and one assumes why it sits empty and falling apart. Well not nothing as at one point work started to rehab the place but stopped for some reason. He never developed or sold anything and after his death his nephew got the portfolio and equally has done nothing. Some old Jewish man went about purchasing tons of properties in the Village and elsewhere in Manhattan and Keller's was one. Long story short like many gay bars the place fell on hard time during and post AIDS crisis of the 1980's and 1990's. Long story short Keller's before it was a famous (or infamous) gay bar was a hotel. For years now whenever one drove down the WSH wondered why that abandoned and derelict building was left so when real estate along West Street is booming. Speaking of Keller's actually did some research on that bar, well the building actually.
Was only relaying information, so will bow to your obviously better informed knowledge. Probably Harlem had one or two, but homophobia has always been rampant in the black community so likely closeted gay black men (or screaming queens) would have chosen downtown locations. Much, much blacker was a bar a block South on West Street called KELLER'S at Barrow Street.
(They had a very nice free supper every Sunday afternoon.and then those still hungry could go to the roadhouse for an even better meal.) Peter Rabbit had the best jukebox in the Village. I would say that Peter Rabbit was pretty much half and half at it's blackest. I was friends with several of the white bartenders. In face I met my husband there a LONG time ago.
Peter Rabbit was a mixed crowd until it closed. In fact many engaged in outright discrimination. This was mostly due to white/European bars and clubs not always welcomed minorities. There were a couple of mainly or mostly "black" gay bars all over NYC at some time. It was open during the early 1980's because the guy used to hang out on Christopher as a teenager and graduated high school in that year and PR was open then he believes. He knows it was an all AA gay bar (and the white gay men that went with them), but cannot remember when it opened. I'm wondering if anyone knows the names of ANY black gay clubs, lounges or "anything else" that are now CLOSED but were open prior to 1985?Īlso looking for information on a black gay club called "The Hideaway" that was located off Hillside Ave & Parson's Blvd in Queens in the early 1980's.Īccording to an older co-worker try searching Peter Rabbit bar on West Street. Much has been written about the white gay experience in NY, but not much about Black Gay America.
